Hi, I'm Stevie, the designer, chief hustler, and your veteran guide. I started in this glamorous circus when I was 19, and after two decades, I’ve decided to stop asking for change and start making it myself!

The Secret Ingredient? My Mother’s Quilts.

You might think I learned my way around lace and spandex in a dimly lit VIP booth, but darling, my foundation is a bit more wholesome: quilting! I learned to sew from my great-grandmother and my mom, who didn't just whip up clothes for my sisters and me; she made couture for our Barbies. Clearly, I was destined for a world of tiny, sparkly wardrobes.

My obsession with making clothes fit perfectly took me to The Art Institute in Philadelphia for fashion design. I've always been a fashionista, always altering, always demanding more from my wardrobe.

The Real Runway: Why Other Outfits Flop

For twenty years, I danced, I hustled, and I noticed something important was missing. I saw gorgeous girls losing money because their outfits were:

1. Chafing after hour three.
2. Unflattering under the stage lights.
3. Basic. Where was the sparkle? The sass? The oomph?

My mission became simple: Design the outfits I wished I had on my shifts; comfortable enough to dance all night, sexy enough to stop traffic, and totally unique to make you the immediate main character.

The Big Bet on Me (and a Hot Tip!)

In 2023, I said goodbye to the daily grind and put every dollar this amazing industry gave me into launching GrlFriday Shop. It was the biggest financial flip of my life! My partner at the time gave me the final, necessary nudge, bless his heart, stepping up so I could dedicate every minute to this dream.

Then, the universe served up a Champagne Room moment: I met Kali, the queen behind the iconic "Tales From the Strip." She loved my vision, put in a massive 15-piece custom order, and when she debuted them, it was game over. The clients flooded in!

A huge, wet kiss and forever gratitude to Kali for the early fire, to my amazing Mom and Great-Grandma for the original thread, and to my ex-partner for the final push.
